Getting Started

I sent some messages to the artists I hope can give me some advice and direction on putting a show together of photos/images. That was a good first step this week to keep making this happen.

This post is an attempt to get another blog going on various topics as well.

I’ve had a lot less stress the last few days and less anxiety. Today I was at the office all day working on various projects. My pain is very minimal even though I’ve done a lot of sitting the last month w/ a trip to Seattle.

I just want to say everyday how grateful I am to have such reduced pain after the years and months of stress and chronic pain.

This summer it got to the point of feeling like my life is going to be a continuous progression of trying to fix my pain w/ exercises, meds, doctor visits, procedures, vitamins. It got very depressing. It must have been hard on Jay.

So today, without much pain, I just look at things a little differently.

I read about the book titled, “How to Do Nothing” by Jenny Odell. It’s timed well, with content about where we give our attention. She has crows she watches out her window sort of like my ducks. I’m intrigued. Prob will buy it and add to the giant pile.

I’m so happy to be almost pain free. Did I mention that?

Jay and i had an epic fight yesterday. That had been preceded by discussions about finances which we navigated fairly well. This topic was sex. Jay got triggered and lost his shit. He later apologized. We made progress and I understand more where he’s at on things, mainly why he gets triggered and how he’s healing.

It’s nice to not be in such a constant state of mindfuckery that I can’t let someone have a shitting moment and not forgive. I got a little triggered but not too bad. We kept resolving things which was good. It’s a huge change from where we were a few years ago.

We are still uncovering shit and Jay esp is uncovering things from his past. He still has shields up a lot.

He’s overwhelmed w/ all that has to get done at work. That’s his primary focus. Neither of us wanted to come back to work after a cool series of days in Seattle.

So that’s the weekly start. My ADD seems better as well as I learn to redirect myself and see it when it happens.
